02 - Blend the mixture on high until fully puréed and uniform in texture.
03 - Pour the purée through a fine mesh strainer into a large pitcher, pressing with the back of a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible and discard the pulp.
04 - Add the remaining 2 cups of cold water to the pitcher, stir thoroughly, then taste and adjust sweetness or acidity as needed.
05 - Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to chill and meld flavors, or serve immediately over ice if preferred.
06 - Serve in glasses garnished with lime slices, mint leaves, or sliced strawberries as desired.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • You can tweak the sweetness and tartness easily – it feels like customizing your own sunshine in a glass.
  • There are no complicated steps, so you get refreshment fast when you need it most.
02 -
  • If you skip the straining step, your agua fresca will end up pulpy – it&apost bad, just not that crisp, refreshing finish you want.
  • Once I overdid it on the sugar and learned a splash of extra lime juice quickly brought things back into balance.
03 -
  • Blend in two batches if your blender is small to avoid big spills.
  • Add mint leaves right in the blender for a gentle herby undertone.
